Recovery Community

Our Story

Old Hickory Recovery was founded by Logan Terry and Nick Talmo who found a shared passion for creating a positive impact in the lives of those struggling with addiction.

Their journey began as former roommates in a sober living home in Thousand Oaks, California, where Logan and Nick quickly recognized the profound impact a structured, supportive environment can have on one's recovery journey. As house managers, they witnessed firsthand the transformative power of nurturing an environment that fosters growth, learning, and healing.

Logan Terry, originally from White House, Tennessee draws from his personal experience with addiction and recovery to make a difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges. Having experienced the healing power of a recovery home environment, Logan and Nick were motivated to establish a recovery home in Logans home state, providing compassionate support to those seeking to rebuild their lives. Nick Talmo discovered his own path to recovery while in the same recovery home in Thousand Oaks, California and started working in various roles at treatment centers and recovery homes to gain the experience and operational knowledge necessary to open a high quality recovery home . Through their journey, Logan and Nick crossed paths, forging a deep bond united by their shared vision of creating a safe haven for individuals seeking sobriety.

In 2021, they turned their shared vision into reality, opening their first recovery home in Madison, Tennessee, embracing Logan's roots and naming it Old Hickory Recovery as a tribute to the state's rich history. The warm reception and success of their initial endeavor inspired them to expand their mission, and today, they proudly operate three recovery homes, all devoted to guiding individuals towards lasting recovery.
